I came across this thought-provoking video that I am sharing with you. Do watch it and share how you felt after watching it.
A lack of self-confidence is considered, in Buddhism, a form of laziness, a weak mind that had to be overcome.
As a business man and an entrepreneur, being a creative person there are a few things that I think of, when I have an office of my own.
This is about the section that is also known as the reception or lobby.
The only chair there will be for the receptionist. So if you happen to be in this section there will be no chairs or comfortable sofas to greet you, not that we dislike you but we will have something more that is equal to a warm handshake or an Indian Namaste.
There will be a fooseball table, or a table tennis board or some other games that will keep you active and excited that’s because, I believe, sports has magic to build a bond and make you more human and grounded.
So while you wait, play a game, destress and most probably interact with my team on a very different level.
That will be a brilliant first impression.
I learnt something of great value today while playing badminton with a close friend. I played four games, lost the first two but with a good fight.
After losing the first two I realized my flaws in the games played. The only way to work around it is to have the opponent play more towards your weakness so that you can improve. That’s what I did in the third game. No! I didn’t win. I rather lost very poorly but in the fourth game I bounced back and won.
I did lose the three games, but I learnt a valuable lesson. In the first two there was no intention. I just played for the sake of playing. In the third I played to better my performance and the intention was not to win but to learn BUT in the fourth all that I wanted was to win, and yes I did Win.
It’s all about the intention. When you think you want to lose, and lose you will. But when you want to win, you will either win or learn a winning lesson. Either way you win!
Trees still amazes me, it’s not that I was least expecting it to but just when I had stopped thinking too much about it, an insight or a quote or a fact or an experience overwhelms me with a new thrust of curiosity.
Did you know that trees are responsible for creating and sustaining life in the waters too? My reference here is to the trees on land that have a direct impact on life in the water, not the plants growing in the water.
The dead matter of trees, such as fallen leaves, barks, stems, flowers, et al when they fall in any water body, they give rise or life to planktons. And these planktons are very important contributors to the beginning of the food chain.
There’s this alien feeling that I have been going through in the last few days. It’s this feeling where I wish to quit on everything, quit on civilization, just quit and walk away. I don’t know where, probably, a place where time has no effect on me, yet I can watch and feel my breath, listen to the waters fall, feel the breeze through the pores of my skin, smell the freshness in the air, speak to the birds of the trees, and be in the warmth of a tree.
I wish to walk away…
Walk away to me.
